Are you satisfied with your current sex life?
In a recently released survey report on sex satisfaction, we found a heartbreaking fact:
One out of every three people is not satisfied with their sex life!
Don't panic!
In collaboration with doctors from multiple departments including andrology, urology, and obstetrics and gynecology, we have compiled 30 pieces of knowledge about sex that both men and women should know.
All the things you dare not say to your partner and the questions you are curious about but dare not ask can be solved at once.
1. The composition of semen is not mysterious: 90% is water, sperm accounts for less than 1%, and the remaining less than 10% is various nutrients. The sayings of "one drop of semen is equal to ten drops of blood" and "semen is nutritious" are all lies.
2. "18 cm per capita" is probably a lie. Data shows that the average erection size of Chinese men is 12~16 cm.
3. However, "length" is not the most important. The average length of the front wall of the female vagina is 7~9 cm, and most men's penises are longer than this. In other words, hardness, time and skills are more important than size.
5. The International Society of Sexology (ISSM) defines premature ejaculation as: ejaculation almost always occurs within 1 or 3 minutes from the beginning of sexual life, or negative emotions are caused by the inability to delay ejaculation. Men who exceed this standard do not need to doubt themselves.
6. Occasionally not being able to get hard is not impotence, and occasionally ejaculating quickly is not premature ejaculation.
4. There is a general standard for the hardness of the penis called the Erection Hardness Scale (EHS):
Level 1: It is completely flaccid or has a slight swelling reaction. The hardness is like lips, or a piece of tofu.
Level 2: It is swollen but very flaccid. The hardness is like a wet sponge, or a peeled banana.
Level 3: It is erect but not at the best level. The hardness is like a nose, or a banana with skin.
Level 4: It is a normal erection level. The hardness is like a person's forehead, or a cucumber.
Generally speaking, the hardness of level 4 is the ideal level, and the hardness of level 3 is the passing level. Below level 3, the hardness is not enough.
7. If the penis has foreskin that is too long or phimosis, circumcision is necessary, which is responsible for both yourself and your partner.
8. It is a normal physiological phenomenon for nipples to have hair, which may occur in both men and women. If you don't like these hairs, you can choose to pull them out, as long as you disinfect and pay attention to hygiene when pulling them out, it will not affect your health.
9. Breast massage does not have the effect of breast enhancement. If the strength is not appropriate, it may be harmful. Don't expect your breasts to be "bigger by touching".
10. The darkening of women's private parts and nipples has nothing to do with the frequency of sexual life.
11. Most men have different sizes of testicles on the left and right sides, and most women have different sizes of breasts on the left and right sides. As long as there is no obvious change in size on one side in a short period of time, don't take it too seriously.
12. Even experienced doctors cannot judge whether a girl is having sex for the first time just by observing her vagina or hymen, and boys cannot make an accurate judgment based on their feelings. What is more important than the "first time" is to cherish "every time".
13. How many times a month is normal? Children only worry about the number of times, while adults focus on the quality. Generally speaking, the frequency of sexual life should not affect the physical and mental state, and it is enough to find a rhythm that both parties feel is appropriate.
14. Masturbation is a normal physiological need. As long as you pay attention to hygiene and do not affect others, there is nothing wrong with it. Many people also masturbate after having a sexual partner, which is also normal.
15. There is no strong evidence to prove the existence of the G-spot. There is also a view that the G-spot is not a "point", but an area on the front wall of the vagina. There is really no need to be too superstitious about the G-spot. After all, love is the biggest G-spot.
16. There are many ways for women to orgasm, including nipple orgasm, vaginal orgasm, clitoral orgasm, etc. Not all women can experience vaginal orgasm, so for women, when one way doesn't work, it might as well try a few more methods.
17. Many women feel pain when they clap for love, and many of them do not have organic lesions, but are caused by tension and fear. Adequate foreplay is the key to avoiding this pain. (Of course, if the pain lasts for a long time and occurs every time you have sex for a period of time, it is best to seek medical attention in time.)
18. Sexual life will not make the vagina looser and looser. The muscles of the vagina are full of elasticity, and they will quickly return to normal after each sexual intercourse.
19. During the menstrual period, women's cervix opens and the endometrium falls off, and the risk of bacterial infection is higher than usual, so try not to "fight bloody battles" during the days of menstruation.
21. Clean up after sex:
- It is best for girls to urinate, and if possible, wash the vulva with clean water (but not the vagina).
- Men can wash the penis with water and mild soap, and remember to turn back the foreskin and clean it.
- Both men and women should wait until it is completely dry before putting on underwear.
23. Whether a boy or girl is born is not determined by women. Because only sperm carries the chromosomes that determine the sex of the child, stop saying to women, "Why can't you give birth to a boy?"
24. Pregnancy can occur through "rubbing" and ejaculation outside the body. "Safe period contraception" is also unreliable, with an efficiency of only about 50%. It is recommended to change to other contraceptive methods, such as condoms, short-acting contraceptives, etc.
25. Emergency contraceptives are a method used to remedy unprotected sex or contraceptive failure. Regular use is not recommended. If you want to take medication as a regular contraceptive method, you can try short-acting contraceptives.
26. Wearing condoms not only helps prevent pregnancy, but also is one of the most effective ways to prevent sexually transmitted infections (including HIV) when used consistently and correctly. If you feel uncomfortable wearing condoms, you may not have chosen the right condoms.
27. Allowing menstrual blood and semen to enter the mouth may also increase the risk of contracting sexually transmitted diseases.
28. HPV vaccination can not only effectively prevent cervical cancer, but the quadrivalent and nine-valent HPV vaccines can also prevent other diseases related to HPV viruses, including genital warts and infections. Men can also consider vaccination to prevent certain specific HPV infections.
29. Unsafe sex includes:
- Inserting vaginally or anally without a condom
- Not using protective measures during oral sex
- Sharing sex toys without washing them
30. Safe sex includes:
- Touching, kissing, hugging, massaging, touching your partner's genitals with your hands
- Using condoms
- Not touching semen or menstrual blood during oral sex
